Why Did My Design Generation Fail?

Design generation occasionally fails due to a few common reasons. Here's how to identify and fix the most common issues.

Common Causes

1. Address Not Found or Unrecognized

If Yarda can't locate your property on the map, generation may fail or produce incorrect results.

Fix: Make sure you enter your full street address including house number, street name, city, and state (e.g., 123 Main Street, Austin, TX). Avoid using landmarks or intersections.

2. No Satellite Imagery Available

Some rural or newly-developed properties don't have recent satellite imagery in Google Maps.

Fix: Try zooming in on the map to confirm the satellite view shows your property. If imagery is missing or outdated, contact support — we may be able to work around this.

3. Generation Timed Out

AI generation typically takes 30–90 seconds. If your network connection is unstable, the request may time out.

Fix: Refresh the page and try generating again. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

4. Property Boundary Not Detected

For Pro Mode, Yarda detects your property boundary automatically. Complex lots (e.g., cul-de-sacs, irregular shapes) can sometimes cause detection to fail.

Fix: On the property confirmation step, verify the detected boundary looks correct before generating. If it's wrong, you can adjust it manually.
